> Subject: Gorilla Mom Story?
>
> I have heard this urban legend about the mom gorilla that was raised in captivity and didn't know how to BF her baby. W/ her second pregnancy, LLLI was brought in to BF in front of mother to assist her in learning the "womanly art of BF". Anyone have a creatable reference to this?
I, too, posted about this 3-4 years ago and was not able to get any credible
references other than a paragraph in the book: So that's what they're for
(which wasn't referenced).
I still would like to find a credible reference for this
sounds-like-it's-true story becuase I think it can have a powerful effect on
human moms' expectation of themselves.
Has anyone ever contacted the zoo and asked?
