I would like to ask your help. I have been given one hour to talk to the
med. students, residents and interns at our hospital about breastfeeding. I will
do a survey before class assessing basic knowledge, assessing how many hours
of breastfeeding education they have had and also what kind of practical
experience they have had with actual breastfeeding moms. My goals & objectives are:
1. List some advantages of breastfeeding (will use a hand out-anyone have a
good one? I am thinking of the Dept. of Health and Human Ser.)
2. Identify common barriers
3. Identify area resources
4. Describe adequate breastfeeding
I will have to use many handouts since time is limited. I was planning on
using:
1. Slow gain Vs underfed
2. University of Rochester Lactation Study Center Brochure
3. Medications and Mothers' Milk by Hale
4. Diane Wiessinger's Breast or Bottle?
I would like to include some good websites too. I look forward to hearing
from you either here or to my personal email. Thanks
