Mom might want and try to pump a relative oversupply and then use hindmilk only in order to help baby with faster catch-up growth. She may need to pump more frequently to reach the point of having enoug hindmilk to suit baby's needs.
Warmly greeting,

Hello Wise Ones,
I need your input. I have permission to post. A very close friend gave
birth this afternoon. This is a SGA baby. Mom is a G4P4. None of her other
children had any problems. Baby born at 37 weeks at 3 lbs 7 oz. Baby taken by
Csection due to extremely low amniotic fluid and nonreactive NST's over 2
days.
