Absolutely, see if you can do some in-services! But your terminology reminds me of a speaker I heard who runs a support group for teen moms in Australia. Every meeting has food and information, the moms-to-be and moms do things socially together beyond just the meetings, they support one another, "They don't start solids until 6 months, they measure their breastfeeding in years, not months... and when a doctor tells them something stupid, they're not defeated, they're enraged," the speaker said.
I love that image of a very young mother who is *already* so well-informed and so confident that ignorance in the health care system doesn't defeat her; it enrages her :-)
