Thank you so much to all who replied on and off Lactnet re the mom with
possible Sheehan's.
Thursday morning I discovered that she had not put baby to the breast for 12
hours! She had not eaten much so thought there was no point until she had
eaten her breakfast. The paediatrician prescribed sulpiride (the standard
galactogogue here). I suggested tucking baby (skin-to-skin) in bed with her
and keep her plugged on as much as possible. Today (Friday) baby had gained
40g and had not been cupfed any formula during the night. Baby was on the
breast frequently today - she *loves* to be there. Mom's breasts are soft
but she does have more milk today. So things do look hopeful.
