When my jaundiced (25.9) son had an IV put in in the local ER, he was
s2s and nursing. He was jaundiced bc he was born at home and the
hordes had to descend (and interrupt bf) to see if homebirthed babies
had two heads :P
Anyway, the doc and nurses were very concerned that he must be very,
very ill not to cry when the needle was inserted. Alas, he had to be
out of my arms for the q2hr bili checks and screamed to hard I had to
go down the hall to keep from throwing up.
