Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to share a beautiful movie I just watched. It's called "The
Story of the Weeping Camel." It is actually a documentary set in Mongolia
about a family who has a herd of camels. A mother camel has a very
traumatic labor and birth, which is shown, and ends up rejecting her colt.
The family works very hard to get this mother to allow nursing, even though
they can give her milk to him by "bottle." The end result is a beautiful
ceremony that seemed to me like a spiritual healing of sorts for this mother
camel. Very touching.
This is a 2004 National Geographic movie, we rented from Netflix.
This site has the DVD for sale and more info about the film.
