Hi,

Normally I only read the daily digest of lactnet and I never posted 
anything on lactnet. But since I have this problem with a mother I 
would like to get as much information as possible to give the right 
advise to this mother.

I am helping a mother with insuff. milksuply and poor weight gain. 
The baby is 5 weeks old. Five days ago she started with domperidon 
(4times a day 10 mg). Domperidon is in the Netherlands available 
without a prescription. Since three days the baby has swollen 
breasttissue en is leaking milk. The mother went this weekend to her 
G.P. and was told to decrease the domp. The doctor suggested that the 
problem with the baby was caused by the use of the domp. I couldn't 
find any literature about this eventual side-effect. Is there anyone 
who has heard of this problem and what was advised at that time?
