I think everyone who works with lactating woman must do this to some extent. I think the funniest is the phone counselors who do it! Myself included! Somehow explaining it is always easier when you are touching your own breast, regardless if there is anyone around to see it! You become so comfortable with it you sometimes forget others find it a strange concept! I wonder what the male pediatrician IBCLC's do to visualize and explain better...?
