Hello Lactnetters,
I felt I had to share and see if any of you wise ones had seen this product.
An associate and I worked a booth at the Baby and Family Expo in Del Mar, CA
this weekend. Yes, we were the only lactation booth among huge displays from
Similac, Gerber, and Nestle, even Wal-Mart was giving out GIANT tubs of their
Parent's Choice powdered formula. However, the most disturbing of all the
products we saw at this Expo was something called the Pacifeeder.

My associates husband joked that it looked like the baby on the picture was
in training to be the guy in college that drank out of the beer hat. What
she and I noticed and disturbed us the most, is how easy our society is
making it for people to be completely hands off from their kids. I felt like
this product says, "Here, have a bottle, but I don't want to hold you."
BTW, our booth was pumping all day long. BF moms came by to weigh their
babies, ask questions about BF products and BF, in general, and just tell
their BF stories. We had one of the busiest booths in the whole place in
light of the big ABM and artificial feeding giants being there. It was a
great day and we realized the need for us to be in more public places like
that. Our word has to get out in an uninflammatory kind of way, and I feel
we did a good job of that this weekend.
Warmly,
Veronica Tingzon, IBCLC, RLC, CLE
Mom of two great boys
