Dear Friends:
LAM is a wonderful method of family planning for women exclusively
breastfeeding. I teach it often.
Today I had the question, as I have had before, about pumping. What if a
mom is back to work at 6 weeks, exclusively bf when she is with her baby,
and pumping enough for the baby when she has to be at her employment.
Is there any research about this? In the past, I have suggested using
condoms if she will be pumping, but that isn't evidence-based either.
Does anyone know?
warmly,
