I have a beautiful picture of our hamster nursing her babies, who were
quite big at the time. If anyone would like a copy, let me know.

He was the only male I could leave with the new ones. Anyway when mom needed a break, he would lie down and let them all snuggle up to him as if they were nursing. If you didn't now better you would be quite certain they were nursing. He would not fight with the other males and was happiest "helping" with the pinkies. It was a wonderful learning experience for our nursing family if only they didn't smell so much, ugh.
