I once had a client whose baby suffered severe neurological damage at
birth. He had a very difficult time breastfeeding, had poor tone, CP
and mom was told he would never walk or talk or even be able to see.
She was referred to me by her chiropractor. I worked with her and
referred her to a PT who does IMT (integrated manual therapy--melds CST
with other functional bodywork). The last I talked to the mom, he was
continuing IMT and also OT, was talking, wears glasses, but sees fine
and was walking with assistance. He still has many challenges, but the
IMT made all the difference in optimizing his potential..
