Dear Karen,
You asked about the new Isis double pump, and I recently saw a mom who'd been
using it (albeit incorrectly) and getting poor results of yield and also
nipple comfort. I had her switch to hosp grade and her supply is up and fine now.
The problems she encountered was not being able to figure out how to attach
one of the caps to bottle/flange setup (neither could I) so she could double
pump and also the nipple tunnel was too small for her nipple size; she fit
nicely in Medela 27m flanges. I must admit I didn't take alot of time trying to
figure out how to attach the "cap" because it wasn't comfortable flange size
for her anyway. I wanted her to effectively pump asap, so a rental was
obtained, but I did suggest she contact Isis to help her trouble shoot the problem.
Maybe for a mom who fits the flanges, has figured out the process of assembly,
and already has established her milk supply, the pump may work fine. Just my
experience of one.
