Oh, was this not a joke?
 
We hear remarks like this a lot in Mississippi. We look for the one good thing the Pedeatrician is doing and make a point to thank them for their support.
Then we build a rapport with the physician, and then we offer to provide (him) his staff a free breastfeeding training, CEs provided.

What do you do when your client, who's been working so diligently to 
protect/build her milk supply while struggling with her infant's suck problems, 
goes in for a well baby check and to ask for a ENT referral for frenotomy and 
the Dr. tells her that "Nobody works this hard at breastfeeding...why don't you 
just give up?"
