Please let's continue to express outrage about this damaging new AAP
position paper.
I just taped a short segment for tonight's ABC Evening News and was very
careful not to say that the AAP was beholden to formula manufacturers and
that they did not allow breastfeeding experts to review this new policy.
Instead, I quoted freely from our List Mother Kathy B (without attribution)
and let them know that not allowing moms and babies to rest together made
mothering much harder.
I also said--and strongly believe--that babies in cribs are much LESS safe
than those in the family bed.
