If you google National Association of Neonatal Nurses cupfeeding you get to
their postion paper on cup and finger feeding which essentially says there
is insufficient evidence to support or refute both practices. Also states
that units may implement these methods with documented monitoring of
outcomes (ie do research!) I've paraphrased here but think I've caught the
essence so it sounds like your boss didn't get the whole story...google is
great tool...
