I think rather than concentrating on the milk, I would ask who is going to
be responsible for the baby until mother is sober. If father is the
designated child-carer for the time while mother should not bedshare, then
OK, I guess. If they are both planning to drink, they need to address the
issue of care, not just alcohol in the breastmilk. To me that is the
strongest argument for moderation. It doesn't end when the child is weaned
either.
