Again, research is the answer. I initially thought that test-weighing would
stress mothers. Not so - Paula Meier did the research - the mothers are
grateful to know whether or not, and how much they need to supplement. Also, there
is much research showing that even the most experienced mother, MD, RN, LC
CANNOT accurately estimate by clinical signs alone, how much an infant is taking.
