Carina asks about sore nipples and sea shells.
I have had recent experience of a mother using sea shells in the way
you describe. She was a mother I was supporting with a persistently
sore nipple (mainly on one side, IIRC) and she found her way to sea
shells via a Norwegian friend who recommended them. She and I had
already worked *a lot* on positioning and attachment, with some
improvement but it was not consistent. She bought a pair of shells
over the internet, and she reckoned they really did help.
Of course maybe her nipples would have improved anyway, but who knows?
