Has anyone got experience support a breastfeeding woman with Crohn's
disease?
This mum has a history of Crohn's but has been well for a while. She is
enjoying feeding her 4 month-old son and planned to continue, especially as
bfing is protective against crohn'sfor the child, but a recent scan shows
her bone density has dropped to osteoporosis levels and her dr has told her
to stop. She is aware of the evidence that about bfing and osteoporosis but
is concerned about her vulnerabilty to fractures at present.
Because she has been well, she got rather lax about taking her supplements
during pregnancy but is back on them now.
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
