International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) needed to assist
with research projects and contracts as a senior project associate at The
Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. Responsibilities
include providing professional guidance and direction in lactation related
research and contract work; providing lactation support services to the
community; and teaching and training staff, students, and health care
professionals in lactation support. The IBCLC will work closely with
officials of other organizations when completing research and contract work.
Minimum requirements are Master’s degree or the equivalent knowledge, plus
at least two years of related work experience (i.e. Bachelor’s degree and 5
or more years of experience). Position requires current Board Certification
as a Lactation Consultant, recertified as least once. The ideal candidate
will possess strong skills as a clinician, be able to work in a
collaborative research team environment and possess effective communication
skills. Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of current
evidence-based practice guidelines, interventions, and management of
breastfeeding problems.
