A retired/reserve LLL Leader would be such a great
help! Talk about the importance of grandmothers...
Great idea, Diane. Wish I'd thought of that years ago
when a mother in our area struggled to establish
breastfeeding without fingers. She had the help of 2
LLL Leaders (with young children) and her local WIC
office, but the steady support of the
"grandmother"/LLLL would have been ideal, in so many
ways.
I wonder, too, if "grandmothers" can be recruited in
communities.
