I found the AAP guildlines on Hyperbilirubinemia in the 35 or more week old newborn infant.

Is there anything on the pre-term infant? I have a client with a 32 week newborn. The NICU RN is insisting that the infant get AIM even though she has given them plenty of pumped milk. She wants to know why. She states that The RN and the Phyiscian has told her that Jaundice is in her milk. She doesn't believe this. Where can I find treatment information for preterms? Is the guildelines different? If so, how and why? If not, then why the distinction in the article?

Thanks,
