Hi,

I remember when I was developing at around age 10 having similar pain and
felt some lumpiness. My mom brought me to our neighbors house - she was
older, had 5 kids (4 girls) and was a breast cancer survivor - the local
breast "expert." I remeber standing in Jo's kitchen one late afternoon with
my shirt lifted and Jo touching my breasts. She assured my mom that I was
fine.
My own daughter turned 10 this summer and is developing and we discussed the
changes in her body. She was very excited about the power of her body ( a
bit proud to have something boys don't.) She did say a couple of times she
felt mild brief pain.
It certainly doesn't hurt to have things checked out but I thought you would
appreciate knowing that sore breasts that are growing is typical.
