A version of this 'Bitty' sketch gets repeated in most episodes of 
this show - it's been quite controversial among bf supporters in the 
UK. I do think it is funny....it is not laughing at extended 
breastfeeding, but it is laughing at the way everyone around these 
upper class eccentrics pretends not to notice there is a 30 year old 
man breastfeeding and how they strangulatedly continue their polite 
conversation.

OTOH, I have heard from some mothers that family members have sneered 
'Bitty!' at them when they learn the baby/toddler/child is still 
being breastfed after some date they have decided is 'too old'....so 
it can be used negatively.
