I'll repeat what has often been noted here, that dairy free is very
different from lactose free, and if dairy is a problem, it needs to be rigorously
eliminated for two or three weeks before it clears the mother's system.
Agreed, and this, for the most sensitive, means everything from milk, to
cheese, to nonfat dry milk added to breads, etc. In NY is it easy to use the
Kosher Pareve sign to make sure there are no hints of dairy. There still could
be egg, but no dairy would be there at all.
