Along with "generic milk" and "nutritional labels," another troubling term
is "philanthropists."
Potential milk donors need to know that handing over ownership of their milk
to a for-profit company does not constitute philanthropy. Especially when
that company turns around a sells a product made primarily of that milk for
$10 per 1/3 ounce.
Milk donation can be philanthropic and, to use another word Ms. Medo bandies
about, altruistic. This happens when women donate to non-profit milk banks.
