Hi all,
I have only been around here for a few months. Have there never been any REAL breastfeeding studies where the babies are exclusely breastfed for six months and then for at least 2 years minimum and health consequences looked at? Ex, how infrequent childhood cancers are? I know that they get lip service, but the breastfed babies are counted that way even if they just get infrquent breastmilk. Yes, of course I know why. Cant let anyone lose their profits.
The real MD trailblazer in the 50s (can't remember his name, finally looked at non-smokers and say how infrequent cancer is). That was really the only way to get the AMA to admit the epidemiology of lung cancer, etc.
I am thinking that no formula companies and no practitioners that have their pockets lined. Is this compleletly impossible? Maybe in the Scandanavian countries, perhpas?
I do not have the contacts, money, or ability. But if there is anyone out there who could take this on, I bet it would BLOW every single other study out of the water. LLLI could provide the study participants. :-)
I better get back out of LA LA land.
Take care.
Pam.
