Some very good information, and opinion, has been expressed on Lactnet in
the past days.  From my understanding of public relations, one of the things
that regular people CAN do to educate and change public opinion, is to write
letters to the editor, and offer opinion-editorials to be published in local
newspapers.  This is especially more likely to be published when one can tie
their issue to current events.

As the situation settles down, and when you think the time is appropriate,
you might consider writing your newspaper, to educate about the issues we
have been discussing. ( ie relactation, fundamental risk of formula feeding
ie dependency on safe water supply, use of human milk for at-risk babies,
etc.  There are many angles you could take on this)
