Lactation and pregnancy inhibit the growth of endometriosis.
Her best bet would be to continue to breastfeed for as long as she's
able/agreeable. (and how lucky to have twins! She's more likely to continue
LAM with two nursing!)
My 15 years of pregnancy and breastfeeding were my only years of comfort
after I reached puberty. Cannot wait for menopause!!
Best wishes,

Hi Lactnetters, I have permission to post. I have a question from a mom
who has had the full spectrum of treatment (including sugery) for
endometriosis. She needed fertility treatments to have her twins. Her milk
supply has been a struggle to establish and maintain. She is able to
provide half of her babies' milk needs, who are home and now 1 month old.
Her doctor wants to start her on birth control pill which are primarily
progesterone to continue treatment of her endometriosis. He didn't mention
that this may decreasse her milk supply. Has anyone had any experience
with this situation?
