<<Nikki asks: "Does it truly help with breastfeeding for parents to see
these
teaching devices? How do we know that it helps?">>
Having just received a set in today's mail, I showed them to 4 friends. One
mother to a newborn, one childbirth educator, and two OB nurses. They were
*all* astounded, and related that they all heard a baby's tummy was as big
as his/her fist. The marble really surprised them.
Based on just these 4 friends, I would imagine it would have an impact on
new mothers, as well.
And, it should be mentioned, these Belly Balls are adapted from Linda J.
Smith's, "Coach's Notebook: Games and Strategies for Lactation Education."
Way to go, Linda!
Best wishes from her most dedicated fan,
Heather "Sam" Doak
