Fiona -
A trip to a rheumatologist might be wise. Some women do experience a
postpartum flare of arthritis, and it may be the beginning of a long trek.
Ruth Lawrence (Breastfeeding: A guide for the med profession p589+ of 6th
edition) has good info. Tho your mom may not have tested positive for
rheumatoid arthritis she still may have a close cousin, and otc nsaids will
help her sx + compatible with bfdg.

and all sorts of other things but nothing has come up, has been offered a
referral to a rheumatologist but not keen currently - wonders if all they
could offer is drugs. Someone suggested it may have something to do with
oestrogen/progesterone depletion in system but just a theory at this stag=
