In response to the ussue of recurrent blebs, Karen replied:
"Can't imagine that lecithin and focusing on unsaturated fats in the diet could ever "hurt" to try... Hope the issue resolves soon."
I would be very careful with a suggestion like this to give more specific informaiton, since many moms would consider vegetable oils to be included in this list, but these oils are generally very unhealthy and this advice may lead mom to consume more trans fats. I would actually add fish oil (only high quality and assuming the mom is not vegetarian--flax oil if she is) and healthy saturated fats like coconut oil and avocado. Saturated fats are not inhenrlty bad and some are very good for us.
I also have a couple of moms right now dealing with recurrent plugs and sometimes blebs or breast infections. It often feels a lot like chasing your tail to solve these problems. Sometimes, the problems relate back to an inefficient latch, even several weeks or months after birth. I am now having moms try MSM to see what the results might be.
