If I were going to talk about what's new in breastfeeding (oops - come to think of it I'm scheduled to do that during WBW!) I'd talk about the "new" breast (lactation inhibiting factor, no milk reservoirs....) and then a bit of new research (like - the last five years!). You could throw in GERD and OALR too, if you had time.
It's not the newest of the new, but it's new enough that people haven't necessarily heard about it yet. If you think about how much we all read and how hard it is even to keep up with the newest stuff in lactation, think about what those guys are going through! It's also ironic that we are working in a field that's been around as long as there have been human beings - how can anything be new??!!
