To Mary Kay and Judy, thank you for your responses to my case.
This baby does not have Downs Syndrome. The tongue protruding out is a
recent event. There are no other markers for Downs. But there may be another
genetic cause to this baby's problem/
Judy, doing a test weight would not give much feedback. This baby has very
short nursings. I can see the baby transferring milk but not that much. The
good thing is that this mother is willing to do the short frequent feedings
demanded by this baby.
I also don't think this baby would tolerate an SNS at the breast much less
trying to explain this to this mother.
