Esther wrote "Recently I was interviewed on a health program together with a gynie
from another hospital who told me before the show that he thinks that
LC's are breastfeeding Nazi's."
Do people really say this!? I think that if anyone ever used this term while speaking to me, I would put breastfeeding aside for the moment and educate him as to what a Nazi really is. People need to know about the holocaust inorder to prevent such a thing from ever happening again. For those who do know about the holocaust, as I assume the Dr. talking to Esther does, he needs to understand the danger in using the word so innappropriately. Misusing the word or giving it a different, less horrible meaning is not so far from historical revisionism.
Thanks for letting me put my off topic 2cents in,
Chayn Fogelman IBCLC Israel
who believes that people need to understand both breastfeeding and the holocaust inorder to protect the innocent.
