Hi Lactnetters,
I was channel surfing this morning and caught the tail end of a segment
about breastfeeding on The Early Show on CBS. The doctor being interviewed
was speaking very eloquently about all of the wonders of breastfeeding
exclusively in the 1st 6 mos. of life and how the baby needn't get any
additional water or juice or anything else in that time frame because breast
milk has all that the baby needs. Then, to my dismay, the idiotic host says,
"Unless they're hungry all the time , you can go ahead and give them a
little formula supplement," or something to that effect. Then they cut to
commercial. I was flabbergasted that they cut out on that note when the
segment was so positive about breastfeeding. I wanted to pill my hair out!
Anyway, did anyone catch this segment? I'd like to see it in it's entirety
so that I can make an educated comment to the powers that be at CBS. I have
been on their website and can't find it.
Thanks to all and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
