Please encourage dieticians to avoid making breastfeeding appear more
difficult, or a time of self-denial for mothers, by telling mothers that
they "should" eat or avoid certain foods or food groups while breastfeeding.
I have experience with a dietician who tells all moms - including
vegetarians - to avoid beans, bean-derived-foods, and a long list of
veggies, because "they make babies have colic and gas." Let's just take
away their best protein source for a whole year or more! Oye!
"A wide variety of foods in as close to their natural state as possible."
