Hi Fiona,

This may be totally irrelevant to the mom you are helping but...

I've  seen quite a few moms who had blood incompatibilities with their 
babies develop sore joints...

Some of them had ABO incompatibilites, some had M and N antigen 
compatibilities and some had Rh factor incompatibilites...

Some of the moms first presented with PUPPP, pregnancy 
uriticaria...some during, some after the birth...some contacted me 
thinking they had poison ivy...

just one more thought to consider...
