I once heard Michel Odent answering a question from the audience as to the
safety of his natural childbirth routines for babies who were not healthy
normal full term. He said words to the effect, if compassionate
physiological care is better for the normal ones, surely the sick, weak ones
need it even more.

<So we're back to the same old issue: in working to save the weaker ones,
we know we sacrifice quality of life for the stronger ones. But where do we
draw the line, offering this care for this one, that care for that one?Diane
