I'm in the process of analysing data from a survey of breastfeeding children older than 2. I'm currently coding the questions that deal with what the children say about bf. It is interesting that when coding an earlier question that asked about previous bf relationships quite a few women said that having been bf by their mother for a long time gave them confidence to bf their own children and that so many children practice/model bf with their toys/dolls. So much learning going on and it is refreshing to look into a world where breastfeeding is normal....one mother described how her little boy was babysat by a relative who gave him water in a bottle and he now refers to that house as the place where he had a "plastic booby" An accurate description when coming from a situation of breastfeeding normalcy.
