I am helping out a fellow LLL Leader who has been working with a mother-to-
be who is adopting twins (due mid-April). This is very complicated as the
woman only speaks Spanish. She has begun domperidone and birth control
pills, although she was one-month late starting the pills, and she is
getting a pump as soon as she sees any changes in her breasts. She's
trying to follow the AskLenore protocols. I know about breastfeeding
twins (I bfd my own for 4 years), but this seems like a pretty tall order
for a mother who is adopting. Also, she seems to have absolutely no clue
as to what she's up against (maybe this is a good thing?) as she is making
very little plans for feeding the babies besides with her own milk. BTW,
she has no health insurance and very little money. Any help or
suggestions would be welcome. Please respond to me via email at
