The things I look for when milk supply goes down, esp. in a working mom:
Pumping frequency and effectiveness of pump - this seems to be a big problem
for mom and if it has gone on for too long it can be hard to get the supply
back
Pump fit/ flange in relation to nipple - observe while pumping
Time spent bf when with baby
Overuse of 'solids' or baby foods/jar foods
Medications - birth control and antihistamines or meds for colds/sinuses
Pregnancy?
The top things that could work - sleeping with baby for easier nursing at
nite, and top quality pump - seem to be the things this mom is resistant to.
perhaps a side-car arrangement; is money a problem, can she afford a better
pump; perhaps the wic program (is she usa?) or some sort of pump discount.
