I think there was a misunderstanding here. The LCs in her hospital
originally told her to pump after every feed because she wouldn't have enough milk
for twins otherwise. (Maybe this is what they tell every mother -- but they
obviously didn't know her history -- her milk supply nearly drowned her first
baby). But she stopped doing that weeks ago. At this point, she only TRIED
pumping to release enough of the milk that the babies wouldn't drown, but
that didn't work -- forceful MER. As I think I posted earlier, if she pumps to
MER only, and turns the pump off, she'll still get 2 ounces....
