I usually recommend sage tea in oversupply that does not react (enough) to breastfeeding management. I suggest moms to combine it with peppermint tea for taste and to enhance the working of the sage. In moms without productionproblems, I advise to be cautious with peppermint both as tea or candy. Peppermint is a strong medicin and can have adverse effects in otherwise healthy people.
I have skipped a few days of messages occasionally lately, so perhaps is has already be mentioned. I think this mom could try to as fully as possible empty her breasts once, put both babies to a breast, simultanously or after each other. Babies can either continue on same breast for following feeds or take turns. Probably the pumping needs to be repeated the next day, but the idea is to slow down on pumping to twice in 3 days, once in 2 days, etc. After pumping babies will experience how comforting nursing can be, they will get a small amount of fat-rich milk and no tummy aches, no MER problems. Pumping for comfort will send a message that even more milk is needed each feed. Pumping incidentally will only ask for one more feed.
