Check for "laryngomalacia" and you will find some info in the archives.
In brief, extending the baby's head strongly during feeding, using prone
positions for feeding (have mom recline or lay on her back, and baby lay
on her chest or belly), and giving short frequent feeds is usually
sufficient for babies with developmental respiratory issues to gain.
She can also pump and supplement by fingerfeeding (one can fingerfeed in
prone) or Haberman feeder on the slowest flow if baby cannot get all he
needs by breastfeeding.
