Here you have a little premie who is trying to get calories and parents who
are not giving it to him.
The warning flag in my head SHOT up...Is this potentially a "Babywise" baby?
I hope not, but sure sounds like it. If so, be aware that these parents
are "taught" NOT to tell LC's or physicians they are using Babywise (hmm gee I
wonder why??)They need to be treated with kid gloves on that issue and to be
well educated on what may happen if they continue on the "3 hour schedule"
Full term bf babies don't do well on one, I can't imagine a preemie could fare
well on that kind of schedule either.
