One thing about the research on breastfeeding is, it is clear. So is
the research on sleep position. What do we think of moms who decide to
formula feed when they say it's because it's "easier"? My first two
were tummy sleepers because that's what was recommended at the time.
The research was just coming in when I had my third, but my husband who
is a scientist felt it was compelling and #3 was put on his back. I
think what we need to recommend is to breastfeed, use car seats, back
sleeping, good handwashing, no smoking, etc., etc. because that is what
the research supports. We wouldn't dream of telling someone who had an
excellent diet and works out regularly that it's okay to smoke, would
we?

difference between breasts and genitals)
