Dear Jan and all,
i am just wondering why this mother is pumping at all, as in my experience
pumping usually increases supply. i wonder if she stopped pumping and just used
cabbage for relief or tried hot flannels or a deep bath to allow some milk
to flow without stimulating the breasts. it may take a couple of days but her
supply should settle to meet the babies demands, but as long as she continues
to pump i would think she is likely to be overstimulating.
[can i stress that i am quite new to lactnet and do not have the vast
experience that you all have!!]
best wishes,
Marion,
